Summit vision

The London Summit will examine the role that the family business sector plays in driving growth and sustainable development across the world. Exploring the theme ‘Extraordinary Performance’ the Summit will identify the key drivers of family business success – and what the future may hold.

Inspired by the London Olympics, delegates will debate how business families can achieve global business competitiveness: building strength, passing the baton and leading the race.

Through plenary family business debates, family case study workshops and the IMD-Lombard Odier Global Family Business Award the Summit will look at Extraordinary Performance across two principle dimensions :

What the firm delivers:

Desirable outcomes for the family, business and ownership
Themes include achieving growth, building a great work environment for people, creating pride among the owners – all driving towards delivering a sustainable business for the long-term.

How the firm delivers:

Behaviours, organisational practices, processes and structures
Topics include fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, embedding of the principles stewardship and using governance tools to maximise successful outcomes.

NEW ! The London Summit will include an exclusive Next Generation Day on Saturday 6 October that will explore, though the eyes of tomorrow’s leaders, the future shape of the family business sector.
