The Institute for Family Business

The Institute for Family Business is the UK Chapter of FBN. Founded in 2001, the IFB is a not-for-profit membership association which supports and promotes the UK family-owned business sector.

  • IFB Representation – promotes policies that enable family businesses to grow
  • IFB Forum – helps members to share knowledge and best practice
  • IFB Direct – provides access to resources that help owners address key challenges
  • IFB Research Foundation – fosters a deeper understanding of family business

With an aggregate turnover in excess of £51bn, the IFB membership comprises some of the largest, oldest and most well known UK family firms.
