Carla joined the Group in 2006 as Director for Social Investment at Participações Morro Vermelho and since 2007 is also Chief Sustainability Officer, with the responsability of designing and implementing the sustainability corporate strategy.
Committed to sustainable development Carla has helped promote sustainability across the business units, contributing towards implementing policies and directives that result in a cultural change. She is also a member of the non profit boards of Instituto Camargo Corrêa, Instituto Alpargatas, Loma Negra Foundation and the Institute for the Development of Social Investment. She also serves on the advisory boards of Instituto Cidadania Empresarial, Instituto Childhood Brazil, Instituto Geração and Oficina Municipal.
Carla´s career initiated in the third sector at W. K. Kellogg Foundation Latin America Program and between 1999-2005 served as executive director for IDIS, the Institute for the Development of Social Investment.
A graduate in Politics and International Studies from Warwick University, Carla has an MBA in Human Resources from the University of São Paulo.
Carla is married and has four children
